Boys, boys, boys – April 2016

Hi!

It’s been a while. But I will try to be back :-). I want to really. I love to document some parts of my life visually.

Well, what has been going on in the month of April?

We cycled to the Soesterduinen to play and picknick and pick up some first sun rays. Worked in our garden. I practised some photography lessons with my new camera (!) I was a luckyduck to take over a very little used Canon 5D mark II. And practised a whole lot more. There are some good shots, but man I’m not developing as fast as I would want to… but I still love the process and progress. We went to the beach and our holiday to England started. Life sure is good!

Boys, boys, boys – January

In 2015 I managed to fulfill the full year of shooting a photo a week of both our boys. It was such a fun project to do and I really love it that we have a visual diary of the both of them for a full year. It is so nice to have something tangible of their growth. Why not join for another year then? Well, the boys really don’t like me taking photo’s of them that much anymore. And I do not want to chase them or almost harrass them. But. I cannot stop taking photos because that is something I just love doing. I will however put the camera away if they get annoyed… So when possible, I’ll post some photos of them on a monthly basis. I am curious what the year will bring :-)

Here comes the first month. January. A gloomy month with blooms, birthdays, Lego (lots) car naps and dressing up.

52 weeks; from the cutting room floor

Ok, I cannot say goodbye to this project. Yet. Sometimes it was so difficult to choose one photo. To decide by heart or by head. Sometimes I used my heart, because it made a litte jump by the sight of the photo. Other times I used my head because I really wanted to document a particular phase or something to remember for later. When they are older.

So here are ‘some’ more photo’s which didn’t make the cut. I love them; either by heart or by head…
